marginal house B ⌈scope: Speculative Project ⌉⌈ location: Confidential⌉

design concept

As the second, progressive vision of marginal house series, the design re-imagines single family house in a more sensitive design approach to the surrounding urban fabric, natural light, and above all to the efficiency in designing corner lots in terms of the placement of the building. Taking off from the notion of “Trail of Preference” which most humans take/create as shortcut when passing through a corner lot. This trail was revitalized and used as part of the urban network of sidewalks surrounding the lot engaging the architecture in a landscape urbanism that brings the occupants of the house and the passerby into a blurred spatial experience, yet providing the residents a great level of privacy.
